Manasaram Architects demonstrates significant portfolio diversity across multiple dimensions—spanning project scales, typologies, materials, and community contexts. We believe in working across dramatically different scales, from intimate individual residences to large-scale urban planning projects. This demonstrates our capability in handling projects from small-scale farmhouses and villa cores to neighbourhoods, city-scale urban developments, and policy interventions. Our practice works across Architecture, Interior Design, landscape, urban design, urban planning, product design, and exhibition and installation designs.

Manasaram Architects provides comprehensive interior design services as an integral part of their sustainable architectural practice, with emphasis on seamless integration between natural elements and indoor spaces, creating calm and serene interiors that balance clients’ physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
Interior Design
Urban Planning
Our approach to large-scale housing and city-level projects grows directly out of the core philosophy of settlements as zero/low-energy, closed-loop systems rooted in local ecologies, materials, and cultures, rather than just “collections of buildings”. At a city level (e.g., a residential layout or institutional campus), this leads to planning where water bodies, vegetation, and microclimate are primary structuring elements, not leftover “landscaping.”
Urban Design
We frame public spaces as climate-responsive and livelihood‑supportive, where streets and in‑between spaces become the primary design medium. Our approach couples low‑energy, locally available materials with micro‑climate strategies and everyday programs (vendors, walkers, children, elders) to create fine‑grained public realms rather than object‑buildings. We work with communities and municipal systems to prototype regenerative urbanism at the neighbourhood scale.
Landscape Architecture
Our approach to landscaping is deeply integrated with our holistic sustainability philosophy, treating landscape not as a separate decorative element but as an essential component of the built environment that connects buildings to natural systems. We design self regulating ecosystems as landscapes. City in a garden, not garden in a City.
Product Design
Our designs blend art, science, and technology to combine functional utility, aesthetics, and user experience to create physically desirable products. Memory, Materiality (natural, warm, and crisp), and space balancing have a strong influence on our design. We also do product design as an integral part of Architecture and Interior Design projects.
Exhibitions & Installations
Manasaram Architects have used exhibitions and installations very actively—as pavilions, temporary structures, and public programs—to demonstrate bamboo and other sustainable materials in India over the last two decades. We treat them as spatial inquiries, where material, structure, culture, and time come together to explore ideas through construction, perception, and experience.
